Coppell, TX 75019 這是鞠傳道長老的link給大家放照片和追念的 https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/coppell-tx/chuam-tio-chu-9052627 Chuam-Tio (Thomas) Chu, was born in Taiwan on November 15, 1951. Thomas was a happy and goofy guy who loved being around people and loved doing things for others. His childhood nickname was “小樂” or “Little Happy” due to his joyful nature. Those who knew him would say they were lucky to have known such a generous and loving man. No task would be too great for him in aiding those he loved. Thomas was a strong fighter who battled various obstacles in his life. When he was a baby, he contracted polio but overcame the disease and did not let it bring him down. He remained positive and never considered himself different than others - always 小樂. When he grew up and made his way to college, he became quite the party planner by hosting get-togethers at his home and choosing music for optimal dance parties. After four years of working at Formosa Plastic Group, he moved to Lamar, Texas to attend Lamar University for his master’s degree in chemical engineering. It was at Lamar University that he met the love of his life, Cerina. He always says he picked her up from the airport and never dropped her off. He impressed Cerina by driving her to church every Sunday. One year after they met, they married and eventually moved to Stockton, California. Two daughters later (Chandy, the eldest, and Elizabeth, the middle), Thomas and Cerina moved back to Texas where he began work at Cell Star. A few years after their return to Texas, their third daughter, Joanne was born. Thomas was quite the family man. He planned fun and exciting trips and was a wonderful cook. In fact, he loved food very much (especially sweets and except for broccoli!). At 47, Thomas faced another medical complication as he suffered a heart attack. Though doctors were uncertain of his recovery, he again overcame this obstacle. He continued to provide for his family and sent all three of his daughters off to college. For a while, Cerina and Thomas were empty nesters and enjoyed their time together. After retiring, Thomas volunteered at the DFW Airport, took Spanish classes, cooked dinner and delicious bao buns for Cerina, and performed excellently as the best grandpa for his three grandchildren. When Thomas began to experience some stomach pains, the family never expected a cancer diagnosis. However, Thomas again faced this battle with a strong and positive attitude. He fought hard and continued to be his joking self until he made the decision to join his parents in heaven. Thomas will be sorely missed and is survived by his wife of 39 years, Cerina; his daughters Chandy (and son-in-law, Alex), Elizabeth (and son-in-law, Dan), and Joanne; his grandchildren, Ian, Jensen, and Kayla; and his brother, Sam (and his sister-in law, She-Ling). Thomas will also be forever remembered by his church and many good friends. Thomas fought the good fight, finished the course, kept the faith, and henceforth there is laid up the crown for him of righteousness which the Lord has given to him. (II Timothy 4:7-8)

We Affirm:
the Baptist faith and heritage, and the doctrinal statement of the “Baptist Faith and Message” as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention in 1963.
